The Proposed Westchester County Budget by Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino.
Republican Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino made his proposed Westchester County Budget public today and it is now in the hands of The Westchester County Board of Legislators Budget and Appropriations Committee.
We at The Yonkers Insider will of course keep our readers posted on the County Budget Deliberations and also the schedule for Public Hearings on the Westchester County Budget. We feel the public needs to be engaged in the process and involved in the process of speaking out on the proposed Westchester County Budget.
We feel that this proposed County Budget puts the blame on any layoffs on the Westchester County CSEA Union, We feel this is wrong headed by the Westchester County Executive, We feel the process of collective bargaining must happen between the Astorino Administration and the Westchester County CSEA.
It must be a fair process and be a fair negoitation, we also feel the County Exec must stop with his blaming of the Westchester County CSEA, the current budget deficit is not any unions fault.
We must all come together and negoitiate in good faith, Mr Astorino, Now is the time for you to lead. It is time for County Executive Rob Astorino to stand up and lead and also bring people together and put together a partnership with the Unions, The Taxpayers and The Westchester County Board of Legislators.
As we always say, when we all work together there is nothing we can’t do. County Exec Rob Astorino, we are all watching to see if you are up to the task of being the leader of the Government of the County of Westchester.
It appears to we at The Yonkers Insider that the County Executive Budget is on the backs of the Unions, Middle Class and our poor. We feel that the most vulnerable must be protected in this budget in terms of the programs and services that are needed and also are necessary. The priorities of the County Exec are out of touch with the people of Westchester County, This is our opinion and our view. Also a question to the County Executive, has he looked into the patronage jobs and how much they are costing the taxpayers in this Westchester County Government? Inquiring minds do want to know we will keep you posted on Westchester County Government here on The Yonkers Insider.
