Child Abuse Awareness Month – Monthly Fundraiser.
We write this article to tell you about a Monthly Fundraising event
for Child Abuse Awareness Month, The month of April is Dedicated to
the awareness on the issue of Child Abuse.
This has always been an important cause to The Yonkers Insider. This
is an important event we feel. It starts Sunday, April 4th and runs
until May 1st, the event will be held at The UNO Chicago Bar and Grill on 2650
Central Park Avenue. The idea is if they raise over a thousand dollars
each week, the organization will receive 20% of the cost of all meals
for that week.
Donations will be made to worthy causes like: The Child Abuse
Prevention Center, The Cynthia Gibbs Foundation, My Sister’s Place and
The Exchange Club as well.
This event will be sponsored by The
Yonkers City Council President’s Office under the aegis of Carol Bengis, head of Constituent Affairs in The Yonkers City Council President’s Office.
We feel that Carol Bengis is a credit to her profession and also a
great credit to the office of The Yonkers City Council President’s
Office, under Yonkers City Council President Chuck Lesnick.
Order of the each week’s fundraising event:
Apr 4th – Apr 10th – Child Abuse Prevention Center.
April 11th – April 17th – The Exchange Club.
April 18th – April 24th – The Cynthia Gibbs Foundation.
Apr 25 – May 1st – My Sister’s Place.
Attachments of the coupons for each event, will also be posted in the
article on my blog as well.
