NATIONAL BLACK POLICE ASSOCIATION SUPPORTS ROB ASTORINO FOR WESTCHESTER COUNTY EXECUTIVE.
“Rob Astorino is a Unifying Voice for
Better Westchester Government”
White Plains, NY-Oct. 29…The National Black Police Association (NBPA) of Westchester today announced its support for reform Westchester county executive candidate Rob Astorino, calling him “a unifying voice for better Westchester government.” Mr. Astorino is running against three-term incumbent Andy Spano.
In announcing its support of Mr. Astorino’s candidacy, NBPA of Westchester Executive Director and National Board Member Damon K. Jones said: “As Westchester County Executive, Mr. Astorino will promote positive change in community development, fiscal responsibility, and respect for all Westchester County rank and file law enforcement professionals. He will also bring true transparency in county government that will make the county of Westchester a better county in which to live, work and raise a family. On behalf of all the African-American police officers we represent, I am proud to support Mr. Astorino in his candidacy for Westchester County Executive.”
“I am enormously grateful to Damon Jones and the National Black Police Association for their strong support of my candidacy,” Mr. Astorino said. “The work NBPA members, and all police officers, do every day to keep our families safe is appreciated and respected by every resident of this county. As County Executive, I will work to demonstrate that respect by giving police officers the tools they need to do their job as safely as possible, and by reducing the property tax load so that the families of police officers can afford to live in the county they serve so well.”
